Last words of famous celebrities

Not all celebrities get a chance to exit the stage with the most memorable lines of their entire career. Then, there are celebrities whose last words haunt everyone else for the rest of their lives.

Maybe, there is something people who are closer to death can feel or see that people away from death miss. In some cases, they called for help, while others were sheer mysteries that will never be revealed. In all, these words are unsettling, to say the least.

'I’m losing it' – Frank Sinatra

Francis Albert Sinatra had a great career considering his achievements and also the length of his career. He began performing music in his teens and gained popularity during the war years of the 1940s. Leaving minor obstacles, he had a remarkable career until the 1990s, when his health failed him.

Towards the end, Sinatra hardly spoke; whatever he spoke was only with his wife, Barbara. Lying in a hospital room in Los Angeles, he was ailing. He had suffered several heart attacks till May 14, 1998 – the day he died and uttered his last words. As soon as the words came out of his mouth, he fell unconscious, and death followed.

'Oh wow' – Steve Jobs

Jobs was the co-founder of Apple. He wasn't a celebrity in the literal sense, at least not when he started his career. Before the year 2000, everyone knew him as a businessman and a tech entrepreneur, which he remained till the last day of his life in October 2011. He had pancreatic cancer.

When death came looking for Steve, it seemed like he wanted to explore the other world. His relatives, who were with him in his last minutes, revealed Steve's last words.

'I’m going away tonight' – James Brown

Just like Sinatra knew his time has come, it seems even James was aware of the same fact. James suffered congestive heart failure on December 25, 2006. He uttered his final words to his manager and longtime friend, Charles Bobbit. Bobbit didn't realize the severity of the situation till James fell unconscious, took a handful of breaths, and died.

Jame Brown was 73 when he died – neither too young nor too old. He spent all his life performing music in live concerts and abusing different sorts of drugs. With all this, his heart could bear it no longer and gave up.

'Just don’t leave me alone' – John Belushi

When we look back at Belushi's life, it is hard to believe that he was just 33 when he was on May 5, 1982. For some reason, Belushi looked a lot older for his age. It is because the actor and comedian achieved so much at such a young age.

The actor played unforgettable roles in films like 'The Blues Brothers, 'Animal House' and 'Saturday Night Live.

Using harmful drugs for decades and an unhealthy lifestyle took a toll on him. He died due to an overdose of a drug named 'speedball' – a combination of heroin and cocaine.

His friend and the drug dealer, Catherine Smith, injected him and heard Belushi say his last words.

'My God, what happened' - Princess Diana

Princess of Wales never saw a happy ever after despite being a real-life princess. To be precise, she had an unhappy childhood hailing from a broken family when she was only seven and was never accepted by most of her new family when she got married (we all know the new family here refers to the British Royal Family).

Princess Diana didn't die immediately die after the tragic car accident, as is commonly believed. She had the time to look around in sheer confusion and utter her last words. Then, she got unconscious and died after that.

The Princess died from a tear in a lung vein due to the accident's trauma. This could have been prevented if she would have worn a belt.

'I’ll be fine' – Heath Ledger

When Ledger died from a prescribed drug overdose in 2008, his acting career was at a stage where it would have blasted into the atmosphere. Unfortunately, death put a full stop to it at an extremely young age of 28.

The actor spoke his last words to his sister Katie. His last words indicate that Ledger didn't want to die. Rather, he was in a state of denial.

Ledger took various prescribed medications. The toxicology did on him after his death revealed that the actor had so many drugs, oxycodone, diazepam, alprazolam, doxylamine, temazepam, and hydrocodone in his body when he died.

'Don’t leave me' – Chris Farley

There are so many similarities between Chris Farley and John Belushi's lives and death that it makes us uncomfortable. Their life followed the same script with a gap of 15 years.

Like Belushi, Farley was also an extremely successful comedian and part of Saturday Night Live in the 1920s. His most unforgettable role is in a movie named Tommy Box.

Even Farley was just 33 when died in despair and loneliness due to a drug overdose. Both the comedians said the same final words. Farley's last words were spoken to a sex worker who did leave him dying on the floor in his Chicago apartment.

Alcohol, morphine, marijuana, and cocaine were found in his body at the time of the death.

'I’ll be back in five minutes, alright? – Paul Walker

In the Fast and Furious franchise, Paul Walker lived and died as his character Brian O'Conner. Walker died in a crash as he lost the car's control which was going too fast. He wasn't alone at the time of the crash, there was his driver and one more person in the car. So, most probably, his final words were spoken to them, but how inaccurate they were!

Walker came out of a charity event and took his sports car for a quick ride. However, within a few minutes, he met with such a bad crash where his body was so severely burnt and damaged that it couldn't even be recognized.

'You see, this is how you die' – Coco Chanel

Everything about popular fashion designer Coco Chanel was larger than line, including her last words. Chanel used her charm, wit, and amazing ability as a designer to create a world of dresses, perfumes, accessories, and more. She was born in a poverty-stricken family, Gabrielle Chanel.

Chanel died at 87 in 1971. Though she was not in bad health, she somehow knew her end was approaching. She said her final words to her maid and then died soon after. Her own lavish became her deathbed.

'Money can’t buy life' – Bob Marley

The legendary singer died just at the age of  36. Considering the impact, he left on the music industry and the culture makes accepting his death a lot harder. His final words spoken to his son Ziggy were sorrowful and sage.

The singer died of cancer that began from his toe and spread to his whole body. This could have been prevented if he had followed the doctor's advice and got his toe amputated. But, as Marley followed the Rastafarian faith, he denied such an operation.

'Yeah' – John Lennon

No matter whether you remember Lennon as an arrogant personality or someone who was behind the breaking up of The Beatles, you can't deny the fact that he was an outstanding musician.

Mark Chapman was mentally unstable and determined to kill a celebrity. Lennon's comment where he said that The Beatles were bigger than  Jesus was unbearable for Chapman, who killed Lennon.
