'Jersey Shore 2.0' shares a peek inside the Shore House. Oh, what could have been

See inside the mansion that would have been the setting for MTV's "Jersey Shore 2.0," and based on the pictures, it appears the cast will be missing out on some awesome summer action. Producers of Bravo's reality show picked this historic 4,000-square-foot Atlantic City house as the perfect location for some 'JS' moments to unfold.

The home, only a short walk from the famous boardwalk and the casinos and nightlife of Atlantic City, boasts stunning ocean views and large decks to keep the party going day and night. You can hang out with the gang by the fireplace in the big living area, and there is a dinette with seating for 10 ... perfect for those Sunday family dinners that we watched the OG cast have.

In addition to the four bedrooms on the second floor, each with its own bathroom, there were four smaller bedrooms on the third floor. One of the smaller rooms seemed perfect for the new "smush room."  On its own, the place looks cool, although the interior appears to have been modified a bit ... similar to the duck phone from the original series.

As we broke the stories, the production ended less than a week after it began, and all the equipment has already been removed. The new mansion in the downtown district is currently for rent on Airbnb for $1,300 a night.

The home was booked all through July to be used for filming the show but come August, it has been left open to rent to anyone. The next wave of MTV reality stars is not going to be the next "Jersey Shore" crew we see here this summer, but someone will.
