"Shrek" is an American 2001 computer-animated comedy movie based on the 1990 book of the same name given by William Steig. Written by Terry Rossio, Ted Elliott, and Joe Stillman, it is directed by Vicky Jenson and Andrew Adamson and stars Cameron Diaz, John Lithgow, and Eddie Murphy. In the movie, the tyrant Shrek discovers his bog overrun through a fairytale of Lord Farquaad. With Murphy's assistance as Donkey, Shrek rescues Princess Fiona to triumph over the bog.
Shrek Storyline: Shrek is a highly territorial green and an anti-social tyrant who adores the seclusion of his swamp. Some time ago, an ogre Shrek (Mike Myers), whose priceless solitude is unexpectedly scattered with an incursion of irritating fairytale creatures. All of them were expelled from the kingdom through John Lithgow as Lord Farquaad, who was portrayed as evil at the time. Determined to secure their home lives, Shrek deals with Farquaad and moves out to release Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz) from being a bride to Farquaad. Freeing the Princess might be small, but her deep and dark plan.
