Timeless

Although the Timeless series was canceled twice, its devoted followers, known as Clockblockers, were so eager that the NBC show ended up getting a two-hour finale to wrap things up, so you will not have to worry about a cliffhanger ending.

The series follows a soldier (Matt Lanter), a history professor (Abigail Spencer), and an engineer (Malcolm Barrett) who use a government-created time-traveling machine to track down a mysterious miscreant who is trying to rewrite American history.

This show pairs the notion of DC's Legends of Tomorrow with the high stakes of 12 Monkeys, making it the ideal "middle of the road" option for time travel fans.
