'American Idol' fans just got the biggest flex from country singer Maren Morris! A thing her mother had been holding onto led the singer to throw it back to August 2007.

A 17-year-old Maren wanted to share her voice with the world by competing on American Idol before she became a Grammy Award-winning artist. As popular as the competition was in 2007, Maren didn't experience quite the same level of success as 2007 winner Jordin Sparks.

A fan post from Maren had fans shaking their heads. She wrote, "My mom found my American Idol audition ticket from 2007. I didn't make it past the first round cattle call" and continued saying, "I wasn't really into sports growing up, but this feels like your mom saving your 10th place award."

The singer's mother kept her audition ticket from when she auditioned as a proud mother would. The moment had to be preserved, even though Mama Morris didn't make it to the main auditions. As if a mother's intuition wasn't enough, who knew just how far her daughter has progressed in her career after purchasing a simple Ticketmaster ticket?

Fans shared their thoughts by saying, "This is incredible. May we not let the world define us." and "The energy is screaming, 'Big mistake.

Big. Huge!" and I am here for it!" It was even jokingly shared by quoting former American Idol judge Randy Jackson, "That's gonna be a yes for me dog."Despite her success in American Idol, young Maren Morris suffered rejection after rejection.

Additionally, the singer auditioned for America's Got Talent, The Voice, and Nashville Star, but to no avail.

In an interview with Seth Myers, she discussed her "traumatic" audition experience on the show and admits that there is a certain amount of poetic justice involved. Maren's post inspired fans to comment that hard work and raw talent always take hold. In addition to selling out shows, the "My Church" singer is currently on tour. All's well that ends well!
