These programs offer something unique, but 1000-Lb Sisters is currently one of the network's most well-liked programs.

All of this occurred in the show's first three seasons, with some people worried that even crazier things were on the horizon.

Waiting for a new season

Fans have gotten antsy and want to know if there will be a fourth season. The wait for a new season has made fans antsy, and they are asking if a fourth season is indeed happening.

Let's look at the show and see what's happening.

The Slaton sisters made their TLC debut on 1000-Lb Sisters two years ago. The twins gained instant notoriety thanks to viral videos, which helped the show establish itself as a must-see for reality TV fans.

Tammy and Amy were first seen on the show embarking on a weight-loss journey to undergo bariatric surgery to hasten the process.

The hastening surgery

Amy would finally accomplish the primary objective assigned to her and proceed with the procedure. Tammy, on the other hand, was left behind.

Tammy's weight has changed dramatically, Amy gave birth to a child, and there has been romantic turmoil with both love partners and family members.

The show's first two seasons did a terrific job of introducing viewers to the Slaton sisters' lives and providing viewers a front-row seat to their quest for a healthier way of life.

The show made a significant comeback for the third season, which promised to be even better than its predecessors, following two successful seasons on a small screen.

Season 3 premoered last year

The third and most recent season of 1000-Lb Sisters premiered before the end of last year. It continued for a while where season two left off, and things became more heated as the season went on.

Fans were forced to watch helplessly as Tammy's health deteriorated during the season. As Amy and her family found a new home, they also saw a rift in the sisters' relationship.

Some of which involved other siblings. Chris, in particular, shed a significant amount of weight throughout the season as he transitioned to a healthier lifestyle.

Amy was expecting her second child, which she later gave birth to, Chris was still losing weight, and Tammy was back in recovery.

Season 3's conclusion

Since the conclusion of season three, a lot has happened, and fans are still anticipating and speculating about the possibility of a fourth season.

So, will a fourth season of the program air on TLC sometime in the future? Unfortunately, as of this writing, nothing has been verified.

"TLC has not yet confirmed the Slaton sisters' return for additional episodes, and neither has a date been released.

Amy did discuss the possibility of taking a break from filming in February 2022. However, she clarified that she was not contractually required to continue for a fourth season and was still awaiting word from the network.

In an interview, Amy noted that having a growing boy has impacted her willingness to continue with the show.

Amy said the following

"I've been on the show for three years. At first, it was easy I feel like I'm being a bad mom when I'm at work. I feel like I'm losing valuable time. I don't really want to do another season because I'm pregnant, it's just a lot,"

She did, however, offer up a way that she would return to the show. "If they cut down my hours, I'll probably be fine. But last season, I worked every day for weeks, renovating a house, plus Gage, Tammy, and my mom.

It was just a lot last year, and I can't do it. I can't discuss how much I get paid, but that's my main job and posting videos on YouTube," she continued.

Fans will receive another season of the show if everything is resolved. If not, they will need to follow the Slaton sisters on social media for updates.
