Anime has certainly hit a few genres over the years, but the 1980s and 1990s tend to have quite a few stories that are truly bloody. A series in which a dark wizard is resurrected to aid humanity during an age of magic and the goriest of violence, Netflix recently released its first batch of episodes for Bastard!! A series about an ancient wizard who is resurrected to fight for humanity during a time of magic and extreme violence. Stagger!! Kazushi Hagiwara created the manga series in the late 1980s, which was adapted into an anime series in 1992 that told the story throughout six episodes. During the latest incarnation of this fantasy epic, Netflix will release 24 episodes of the series over four parts, following the announcement of the remaining episodes shortly. Previously, Liden Films had worked on brutal series such as Berserk and Tokyo Revengers, to name a few. They will now be bringing Dark Schneider back to life.

Bastard's first thirteen episodes have been released on Netflix Anime's Official Twitter Account. Streaming is available right now, bringing viewers into the land of Metallicana, where only resurrecting one of the evilest sorcerers can save the world. "In Metallicana, a kingdom under siege by evil monsters, defenders look to the legend that a virgin's kiss will awaken the wizards "Dark Schneider" from their slumber inside the boy Lucien. Thanks to his sister Yoko, Lucien transforms into a ruthless wizard. But Dark Schneider remains barely under control, leaving Metallicana to fight for its very survival.?" While Metal Saga came to a close with the original manga series in 2010, the resurgence of Metal Saga through this new anime series is positive news for the future of the world of Metallica.
