There's no getting out of this one, Real Housewives of New York stars LuAnn de Lesseps & Sonja Morgan have begun filming their new series "The Real Housewives of New York".  It looks like the popular Housewives duo will be taking on Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie's 2000's hit The Simple Life to take their lives to a new slower pace. And judging by what we hear, this is going to be a really slow pace.

The Benton Municipal Airport was adorned with a miniature red carpet on Wednesday when Sonja and LuAnn landed on their private plane. Dozens of people from the 70,000-person town showed up to meet the celebrities. There were cameras there to capture the whole event and they were able to capture some great images.

Onlookers in the area reported that LuAnn and Sonja were hugging strangers and behaving as if it wasn't odd to them that they knew everyone here. Sounds like the New York gals have already settled in! A local native from this small town said they are excited about the buzz the RHONY stars are bringing, but they don't think they will be entertained by a slower-paced lifestyle, according to WSIL-TV News 3. Another native added that even if you disagree with the idea, you should at least try to be welcoming if you are against it.

According to reports, LuAnn and Sonja will be drawing inspiration from one of the first popular reality television shows in history, as mentioned above. According to The New York Post, “The Bravolebrities will be living together and socializing with locals as Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie did on their hit show The Simple Life in the early 2000s.”

There is a good chance that the series will consist of a total of 10 episodes, but it isn't clear if the episodes will be released on Bravo or NBC Universal's streaming service Peacock, as NBCUniversal has not yet confirmed. The pair is slated to film over a period of "several weeks," however, there has been no announcement of local filming locations, not even by the stars themselves.

There is something a bit odd about Sonja and LuAnn and their over-the-top, wild antics, so how will they survive in a small town without their typical forms of entertainment? We'll have to keep an eye on them to find out how they fare in their new environment.
