America’s Got Talent changes its rules

For the second time in history, the rules of the show America’s Got Talent see a change

Golden Buzzer 

America’s Got Talent is known for its vast variety of keen judges and each judge on the show gets a Golden Buzzer which is a chance to recognize an exceptional act on the show and the buzzer also sends the act directly to the live shows.

The Changes 

But in the episode that was aired this Tuesday, things got a little different. All the AGT judges had already used their Golden Buzzers but when the joyful country trio Chapel Hart took to the stage, the judges bent their rules.

Group Golden Buzzer 

All the judges of America’s Got Talent after some discussion along with the host of the show Terry Crews came to an understanding point and gave a group golden buzzer to Chapel Hart, something that has only happened for the second time on the show.

Chapel Hart 

The group Golden Buzzer was given to Chapel Hart which is a country belonging to Mississippi. The trio is made up of sisters Danica, Devynn Hart, and their cousin Trea Swindle.

The rise 

The trio has been on the rise since the year 2021, as they were first inducted into the CMT’s Next Women of Country, which has helped a lot of women artists towards fame like Kelsea Ballerini, and Gabby Barrett, etc.

Former works 

The trio’s firmer works include two independent albums and five singles but still, they remain unsigned, revealing a source. But the singers hope that America’s Got Talent can change it for them.

The performance that blew minds 

For their performance on the show, Chapel Hart performed its original song “You can have him Jolene”, which can be seen as a sequel to Dolly Parton’s classic “Jolene”.

The trio shared their reasons as to why they made the song and revealed that no one can follow a man from 1973 to 2022 referring to Dolly Parton’s classic song and added that it was high time they created “You can just have him, Jolene”.

The responses 

Simon Cowell, a judge of America’s Got Talent remarked that he needed them today on the show while talking about their performance.

The Struggles 

The trio also got emotional on the show and shared that they have been trying to break into Nashville for the last couple of years but it has been hard for them. The trio being women of color added that Country music does not always look like them.

Applauds 

The trio was shown full support by judges after their statement. Simon Cowell commented that they just broke the door with their performance while Howie Mandel said their Country music is not like theirs because they are going to be original.

Straight to the show 

After a good amount of discussion and collective decision, the judges decided to show their praise towards the trio by giving the group Golden Buzzer which will take the group past the Judge Cuts round and directly to the Live shows.
