A steamy first trailer for HBO's The Idol features The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp

It is time for you to watch The Weeknd and Lily Rose-Depp's "sleaziest love story in all of Hollywood."It is the tagline for the upcoming six-episode HBO series The Idol, whose first trailer was released on July 17, a day after it was screened during the singer's concert at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, one of the first shows on his After Hours Til Dawn tour.

It has been revealed in The Idol that Lily-Rose will be playing a rising pop star named Jocelyn, while The Weeknd will be portraying a self-help guru who is a cult leader. It is shown in the trailers that they are getting intimate in a recording studio as well as cuddling up while driving a vintage convertible in the trailers.

He also advises his new love interest on some self-help issues since he is a self-help guru. In the middle of a crowded dinner table, he asked her, "Why don't you just be yourself?" to which she replied, "Because there's nothing about me that anyone can relate to."

Known for her singing and modeling skills as well as being Johnny Depp's daughter, Lily-Rose is making her debut on TV. The Weeknd makes his acting debut in The Weeknd, a TV series he co-created along with Sam Levinson and Reza Fahim, the creators of Euphoria.
