Montgomery's Violent Crime Rate Will Decrease By 10% In 2023

Chief Robert Contee III of the D.C. Police want his officers to leave their cars and cruisers and talk to the people. He stated that the objective is to assist in reducing spikes in crime in the nation's capital, where violence typically rises as summer approaches.

In all city quadrants, he stated, intentional, community-focused policing would be the strategy for this summer.
