In a new TikTok uploaded to the Grammy Museum's account, several Taylor Swift artifacts are displayed in the museum's upcoming "The Power of Women in Country Music" exhibition, giving fans a chance to see the items if they cannot visit the museum. The pieces include Swift's "Mean" white dress, her banjo, as well as a replica of the wooden cabin she performed in front of at the 2021 American Music Awards. The museum's TikTok video is titled "Swifties, this one is for you," and first pans across an edit of Swift's "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)" as an edited snippet plays. In the video, a red scarf emoji appears with the text "Calling all Swifties."
The TikTok clip then shows Swift wearing the shimmering gold dress she wore during her performance from 2021 - draped over a mannequin and contained within a glass case - before moving on to a collective display featuring the peach-colored dress she wore and the banjo she played at the 54th Grammy Awards during a performance of "Mean" (which won best country song and best solo performance that year). She also wears the floral ruffled dress in the music video for "Willow" in the display case. The Grammy Museum's exhibit is intended to examine for the first time "the rich history of women as a driving force in country music", according to the museum's website. Aside from Taylor Swift, other female country stars including Dolly Parton, Minnie Pearl, Shania Twain, Mickey Guyton, Brandi Carlile, Reba McEntire, and others are also honored.
