The book In "Jane Fonda: The Private Life of a Public Woman," written by Patricia Bosworth, mentions that Jane was suddenly aware of how much Roger objectified her and exploited her. Jane was done playing the mistress for him. It resulted in her divorce from Roger in 1973.

Jane married an ex-activist and politician Tom Hayden the same year she divorced Roger. They inherited the passion for social justice. Things fell apart, and they separated in 1990.

There is news that claims many things about their split. Some reports claim Bosworth accused Jane of controlling him. However, Jane spoke no ill about him and expressed her gratitude for Hayden.

In one of her interviews, she said, And then Tom — I needed someone far wiser and more knowledgeable than I was about movement-building and politics and all of that. And he had this depth of knowledge, and he gave me structure and guidance, and I learned so much from him that I am forever grateful for."

Jane has not only been appreciative of Hayden but all her ex-husbands.

Although the duo was compatible and even after the split, the two have been on good terms, so why the split?

As to Jane Fonda, her marriage with Ted Turner was "Irretrievably Broken."

The pair had a solid marriage of ten years. While Fonda claims the marriage was irretrievably broken.

But separately, both wished each other well. The two had reasons to part ways. Some reports suggest Ted deteriorated when she became Christian. Jane parted ways because of Turner’s clingy behavior.

Although Ted's memoir "Call me Ted" has a different story of his split with Jane, It wasn't because she had become Christian. It was because she didn't speak to him about it." Ted.

The communication gap between the duo took a toll on their marriage, resulting in their separation.

Jane's memoir "My life so far" claims Ted's infidelity was the reason for their divorce.

Exes can be friends

Speaking of the odds, there are many, and yet Jane and Ted share a bond like no other. The two fondly look back on their marital life. The two have given separate interviews and said nice things about each other.

Fonda said, "We had a great time for 10 years. I am so happy I got to spend 10 years with him."

Ted's confession is a bit sad, as he claims Jane was the love of his life. He said, “When you love somebody, and you love them, you never stop loving them, no matter how hard you try."

Jane has gone on record and stated She is deeply intrigued by Men who lead a separate life from hers, and Ted was just that. She had lots of excitement stepping into Ted's life. Jane is happy she could spend a part of her life with it and absorb it.

To Conclude

Jane and Ted have their reason for separation, but there is no denying that they are fond of each other and will continue to be friends and support each other.
