Andrea Evans played the troubled teen Tina Lord on the ABC soap One Life To Live, which made her famous in the 1970s and 1980s. Evans passed away on Sunday. She was 66 and was tormented with bosom disease. The casting director, Don Carroll, confirmed that she passed away in Pasadena, California.
Evans had a successful career in daytime television, appearing in notable roles on shows like Passions, The Bay, and The Young and the Restless. The following are five things to be familiar with the entertainer.
Achieving stardom
Born in Aurora, Illinois, Evans began her career in regional theater and beauty pageants before being noticed by soap casting director Mary Jo Slater. She was cast as Tina Lord on One Life to Live, where she became a fan favorite and captivated viewers.
Evans remained in the role of Tina Lord until 1981 due to the success of her rebellious performance. She was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for her role as Patty Williams on The Young and the Restless from 1983 to 1984.

Following her Emmy designation, Evans suddenly passed on to media outlets because of a stalker pestering her. She quit acting and avoided the public eye for almost 10 years because of the horrible encounters she went through at that point.
