Krishan Lal Chopra, told a media outlet in Delhi, "At medical school, Deepak became unhappy with his professor's attitude. Deepak said, 'They only talk of disease and misery and never talk of health. How can they describe some patient's pain and misery as an 'interesting and fascinating case?'"

Touched by the ways of inner healing

He always thought that people should give more prominence to living than trying to survive in a given situation. He went on a meeting with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the 80s, which influenced him to turn towards Ayurveda. He was touched by the power of inner healing and finding ways to come in close contact with nature.

His charismatic presentation and astute marketing helped Chopra bring forth Ayurveda and Yoga's ancient sciences. He wrote books and even recorded audiotapes based on his understanding of meditation which he marketed as user-friendly to the American mainstream. He was able to grasp the destiny and purpose of his life. 

He has a vast reach out

Deepak Chopra reached out to the millions with his preaching on Hinduism; and appeared on numerous prime-time shows, like Oprah Winfrey Show. Some of his popular books include Ageless Body, and Timeless Mind, which have been on the bestseller list and translated into thirty-five languages. He reached out to a vast audience who were already yearning for standard measures that could treat their body and heal their soul. He let out his first cry on October 22, 1947, in New Delhi, India.
