The rapper is mourning the death of a police officer who heroically saved his life when he was 12 years old. After attempting suicide as a child in 1994, the five-time Grammy award winner sent some encouraging words to Robert "Uncle Bob" Hoobler via Instagram on Monday.

The universe has a purpose for everything. A picture of Hoobler appeared alongside the rapper's caption: "I was dying when I met you here.". The rapper added: "I begged you not to let me die."

The rapper added: "I begged you not to let me die.". “Everything that doesn’t happen occurs for a reason.” It's because of you and your faith. Uncle Bob, rest in peace. My aunt Kathie has been waiting for you. I will love & miss you both and live for us all," he said.

A 65-year-old Louisiana man was found dead at his home on Friday, according to news site Nola.com. Nelson, Hoobler's grandson, has recently had both legs amputated and is diabetic.

An interview with former NFL quarterback Emmanuel Acho last year revealed that the rapper attempted suicide as a 12-year-old. A few minutes later, he shot himself in the chest with his mother's gun out of her bedroom.

A police officer arrived at the scene but ignored his cries for help. Guns and drugs found in the room were the only things that caught their attention. As Wayne approached the house, just one officer, Hoobler, heard a dispatch on his police radio and ran to help him.

According to the rapper, Hoobler completely changed his view of cops during the 2020 protests against police brutality. An officer who was white saved my life.

During a Beats 1 episode, he called out Uncle Bob. As a result, you must understand how I view the police. The 1-888-NYC-WELL crisis hotline is available to all New Yorkers in times of crisis and suicidal thoughts.
