To spread the news, the actress posted a picture of a white babygrow on her Instagram account, with the phrase 'coming soon' written across the cloth. Lindsay Lohan said in a caption to her 12.4 million followers, "We are blessed and excited."

Among the first celebrities to congratulate Lindsay Lohan on Instagram was Nancy Myers, writer of Lindsay's 1998 hit movie, The Parent Trap: "Lindsay!!!!!! I'm so excited for you." Paris Hilton's mother Kathy wrote: "I am so happy for you.", while Donatella Versace left a trio of star emojis as a comment.
