In 1987, Sandra Bullock made her movie debut in "Hangmen," and she has been a studio staple since then. Bullock is a star who can do everything from classic romantic comedies such as "While You Were Sleeping" and "The Proposal" to gripping thrillers such as "Speed" and "Bird Box.".

It has come to the attention of film critics that Bullock was once nominated for an Academy Award for best actress for both The Blind Side (2010) and Gravity (2014), with the latter taking home the prize.

It's also worth noting that she has done some comedy movies that have become instantly iconic, like "The Heat" and "Miss Congeniality." Bullock's career as an actress began in New York City, where she studied acting and performed off-Broadway.

It was from these roles that she was able to get some small parts in independent films before she made a name for herself in 1994 by starring alongside Keanu Reeves in "Speed."

It was back in March, when Bullock was promoting her movie, "The Lost City," that she revealed to ET that she is planning on taking a step back from acting for a while. Bullock told the outlet that she takes her job very seriously when she's at work and said it was a "24/7 job." "And I'm so ready to be at home with my babies and my family forever.

That's where I'm gonna be for quite some time." Bullock told the outlet that being home with her kids, Louis and Laila, is "the place where I am happiest." In August, Bullock also stars with Brad Pitt and Bad Bunny in "Bullet Train." While we may have to wait a few more years for Bullock to add to her impressive filmography, you can take a look at the movies that built her reputation.
