Robin Roberts To Marry Her Longtime Girlfriend, Amber Laign, In 2023

Robin Roberts decided to tie the knot in 2023. In an interview with author Gabby Bernstein on Monday, Robins, 62, the ‘Good Morning America’ anchor, revealed her intentions for New Year that She was supposed to get married to her longtime companion, Amber Laign. 

Roberts said, ‘I am hesitating as I have not said it out loud. But I am saying ‘yes’ to the wedding now. And we are getting married in 2023’. She added, ‘It was something we’d talked about but still put off. She was ill but said ‘yes’ to start the next chapter.

Roberts And Amber Laign have been In A Relationship Since 2005 

Roberts has been in a relationship with Amber Laign since 2005 and revealed that her partner had suffered breast cancer last year. The anchor unveiled on Twitter, ‘She had surgery past month, and this early morning, she will start chemotherapy. All thanks to god, the diagnosis is going well. 

In July, the duos were excited to share that Amber had finished her radiation treatments. Robin captioned the clip, ‘Sweet Amber,’ ‘Completing a radiation treatment is a significant aspect of her cancer treatment. We thank all the prayer and our well-wishers’.

She added, ‘Proud of our fellow thrivers for showing grace and grit during such challenging times. This perhaps is #mondaymotivation’.

Roberts Opened Up Laign’s Illness On ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show

The veteran anchor felt her partner’s ailment, who was diagnosed with a disease of breast cancer in 2007. Roberts revealed Laign’s ailment of ‘breast cancer’ on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show.’ She told Ellen DeGeneres, ‘I’ve not talked about it much, but she’s going well, which is good.’ 

Apart from Amber, Roberts also battled with a bone-marrow and rare blood disease called MDS (myelodysplastic syndrome) in 2012, under which a bone marrow transplant requires. Her health conditions did not prepare Roberts to discover Amber going through such kind of treatment. 

Roberts shared, ‘I’d gone through the treatment twice and shed tears. I am slick every time whenever I think about Amber’s ailment. She is dealing with the disease extremely well, as she is gutsy.
