Phaedra Park who rose to fame from Real Housewives of Atlanta has come out with a book which will help people get through depression

The star who rose to fame from Real Housewives of Atlanta, Phaedra Park has experienced a surge in emotions leading to depression after her exit from the show Real Housewives of Atlanta. But since she has experienced it herself, she does not want others to do the same, so she has come out with something that will help others and has used her experience.

Mental health journey 

Phaedra Park recently in an interview revealed that she is planning to detail her mental health journey and share the affirmations she used throughout her recovery in a new book that is partly a memoir and partly a meditative guide.

The Dark times

Phaedra Park also said that when she left the show Real Housewives of Atlanta, it was quite a dark time for her which caused her to go through depression. She also said that she went through a lot of emotions that Real Housewives is a show that can also give PTSD. She revealed that whoever has spent around four to five years on the shoe will know the fact that it can give PTSD as it is very traumatic.

Reason 

Phaedra Park who is 48 years old, left the show Real Housewives of Atlanta back in 2017 following seven consecutive seasons on the Bravo reality show. The author’s departure, mourned by her many fans, notably came in tandem with the demise of her friendship with castmate and longtime pal Kandi Burruss.

Phaedra Park who is a single mom and shared two kids Ayden who is 12 years old and Dyan who is 9 years old with ex-husband Apollo Nida told a news source that she is grateful to have bounced back from the drama with self-reflection and the support of her loved ones. She revealed that she wanted to write a book for women men can read, too that really gave a part of her testimony of just being an overcomer.

Phaedra Parks has been thriving lately after her exit from the show. She recently made her reality TV return on “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club,” a Peacock spinoff that convened Tamra Judge, Taylor Armstrong, Jill Zarin, and more iconic “Housewives” from the past from different franchises.

Phaedra Parks also added that God gave her double for the trouble she had experienced back then during her times on the show. She also said that she looks and feels younger and has lost nothing post leaving the show.

The multi-hyphenate who maintains multiple careers as an attorney, mortician, producer, and actress was able to combat previous “shame, embarrassment” and even “suicidal ideations,” she notes, through her faith in a higher power. “Sometimes when people go through bad things, they don’t have a prayer life or they don’t really understand the power of meditation, the power of thinking positive, the power of claiming and proclaiming success, healing over their lives,” she elaborates.

She added that she talks about personal stories and her experiences and at the end, she gives a meditation that has helped her in those moments. She added that she wants to be that encouragement for someone who doesn’t have someone to talk to.

Breaking down mental health stigmas 

In the interview, Phaedra Parks also added that she intends to break down stigmas surrounding mental health setbacks. “I just want people to know, even though my book, there’s nothing wrong with saying, ‘I need help,’ or, ‘I’m feeling this way,’” she points out. “You should be able to feel transparent to people who love you and get aid.”

Phaedra Park has been raising two kids whom she shares with her ex-husband. She also revealed in the interview that her children are her greatest accomplishments because to continue her legacy, She is imparting all the things that she has learned to them as a parent.

Tribute 

Just days ago, Parks paid tribute to Ayden and Dylan in a TikTok post accompanied by Caroline Jones’ “So Many Skies,” a tender love song featuring Matthew Ramsey that has gone viral on the social media app this summer. All that’s happening in the world with COVID, inflation, and violence, there’s no better time to talk about love and just be appreciative. I just want my children to know how much I love them and how much I appreciate them,” she says, further gushing, “and how happy I am that God blessed me to be their mom.”, she said in the video

This is not the first time as an author for Phaedra Parks. Her last book “Secrets of the Southern Belle: How to Be Nice, Work Hard, Look Pretty, Have Fun, and Never Have an Off Moment,” hit the stores back in 2013. The writer is currently “finishing up” her next literary project, she told the source. The release date and title have yet to be announced.
