Model Mary Jane Thomas’s cause of death confirmed

Former model Mary Jane Thomas passed away in March of this year and now after a few months the real causes for death have come to light

Former model Mary Jane Thomas who was the wife of country singer Hank William Jr passed away in March of this year and now the cause of her death has been revealed.

Mary Jane Thomas of age 58, passed away on March 22 of this year and the cause of her death seems to be a collapsed lung that was punctured during elective surgery the day before, said a report from the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner as well as the autopsy reports which were obtained from a source.

The cause of the death was listed as accidental.

Autopsy

The autopsy listed the cause of the death as pneumothorax due to perforated parietal pleura during liposuction with autologous fat reinjection procedure.

Parietal Pleura

The Parietal Pleura is a membrane that is bound by the connective tissues to the inner surface of the chest wall and plays a very important role in the formation and removal of pleural fluid.

The autopsy reports that were done reveal that her lung collapsed after her surgeon punctured the membrane while completing the fat transfer as part of a breast lift following a breast implant removal.

Liposuction

The now former model who lived in Nashville had travelled far away from her home to Jupiter, Florida to undergo liposuction surgery as well as to get her previous breast implants removed at the Bafitis Plastic Surgery. She was declared fit for the surgeries by the physician at home according to the reports.

The details

Mary Jane Thomas was released from the facility post the surgery at around 7 pm on March 21 and was taken to the recovery facility.

The reports that were revealed also mentioned that she was sitting up right in her bed and was speaking normally post the surgery but it was the next day that suddenly she became unresponsive.

Unfortunate

The former model was rushed to the hospital immediately after her unresponsiveness but unfortunately died in the emergency room. The Medical Examiner also reported that her vitals were normal and she was given Lovenox which is an anticoagulant.

Seven other reason

The autopsy reports that were shared also revealed seven other findings which included mild brain swelling, mild coronary artery disease, and fatty metamorphosis of the liver, which is common to be found in people who have had a history of alcoholism like Mary Jane Thomas.

The happening couple

Mary and the country legend Hank Williams who is 73 years old, met back in 1985 at one of his concerts and got married in 1990. They shared a daughter Katherine who died in a car crash in 2020 and also a son Samuel who is also a musician, just like his father.

Tribute

Samuel loved his mother immensely and he paid a tribute to her just after her death during an interview. He said that his mother was a very beautiful soul who forever affected everyone who knew her.

She had a smile and presence that lit up every room and she never met a stranger she didn't befriend, continued. He also said that her spirit was gentle and giving.

She could take down a ten-point buck and fix dinner for her grandchildren at the same time! Now she gets to radiate from above with my sister Katherine Diana right by her side, the musician added.

Love

The grieving son also said that his mother grew up competing in baton and cheerleading and was one of Hawaiian Tropic's top models. His father fell in love with her as soon as he laid eyes on her in the early 80s.

They went on to live the most powerful love story of travel and hunting and raising a family. Lastly, he concluded his tribute by saying that his mother is survived by his father, her two parents Ramona and Bill, her brother Andy, her sister Angela, him and her three grandchildren: Beau Weston, Tennyson Hiram, and Audrey Jane.
