Irene Cara sang the famous and hit Title songs "Fame" and "Flashdance."

Irene passed away at 63, although her publicist still has not declared the reason for her death.

Irene Cara's publicist Judith A. Moose confirmed the news of Irene's passing away at her Florida home through Twitter.

Her publicist wrote, It is with profound sadness that, on behalf of her family, I announce the passing of Irene Cara, who passed away in her Florida home," Moose stated.

"She was a beautifully gifted soul whose legacy will live forever through her music and films."

She further added about the cause of death, "will be released when information is available."

Moose has clarified that the plans for the funeral and Cara's Memorial service are on.

Irene Cara played the role of Coco Hernandez in the movie Fame, a 1980s movie. A young singer auditions for a spot in the New York High School of Performing Arts. Cara's role earned her two Grammy Nominations for the category Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 1981.

In 1983, Irene co-wrote the title track for the Flashdance. The song "Flashdance: What a feeling" earned her a Grammy. Irene won Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Album of Original Score Written for a Motion Picture for the song.

"Flashdance" also won Cara an Academy Award for the category of Best Original Song at the 1983 Oscars.
