Taking things to the next level is something that celebrities are known for. They possess certain things that most of us can only imagine, such as world-class vacations and luxury cars made by Maserati, Rolls Royce, and Bugatti.

They live in the same neighborhood, of course. When can you live in a house way over the top? Why settle for a "regular" house?

This study analyzed the most dreamy, costly, high-end luxury homes available via Lustworthy Listings Explorer. This tool allows users to search by zip code and look at the latest mega-mansions in the area.

They compiled an impressive list of the world's most impressive and expensive celebrity homes. In addition to taking over the top, these celebrities have taken it up another notch.

Seeing stunning houses is now easier than ever, thanks to shows like Selling Sunset and The World's Most Amazing Vacation Rentals. Awe-inspiring mansions are often reserved for celebrities, who often have their pick of the best.

It can be hard to figure out which A-listers spent so much on their mega-mansions since so many live-in secluded estates.

Haute Homes

In the most exclusive and coveted neighborhoods in the country and the world, the rich and famous live in homes that resemble castles and sometimes are castles. Their mansions and amenities might make real royalty blush as they spend millions to live like royalty.

This list includes a century-old California home bought by Brad Pitt, one of the most expensive celebrity homes in history. Adjustments to inflation-adjusted prices on all previous home purchases, sales, and listings have been made.

Brad Pitt

Pitt purchased this century-old cliffside house on his own following his split from Angelina Jolie. Built with locally quarried sandstone and granite, this Art and Crafts-style home has arched windows and a Mediterranean-style roof and was likely eagerly snapped up by the architecture buff. Stunning ocean views are also included.

Mark Zuckerberg

Located on the edge of the Mission District and Dolores Heights neighborhoods of San Francisco, this 7,386-square-foot home has four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

A roof deck was added to the roof of the building, and additional space was added to the first, second, and third floors. Buying the property for under $10 million in 2012, Zuckerberg made a tidy profit from the sale - although the property was also 1,800 square feet smaller at the time.

Michael Eisner

The sale of Eisner's nearly 5-acre compound will be the most expensive in California history if he receives the $225 million, he seeks. Throughout the 1990s, he gradually acquired the beachfront property and constructed nine buildings totaling 25,000 square feet.

With manicured gardens and courtyards interspersed between Tuscan-inspired stone and terra-cotta-covered buildings, there are 16 bedrooms and 22 bathrooms. A huge movie theater is available, complete with an underground tunnel leading to the outdoor pool, and an elevator takes you down to the beach.

Madonna

The Material Girl bought the estate from The Weekend for $19.3 million last year and is now selling it for just shy of $26 million after marking it up significantly. The estate includes both the main house and a guesthouse.

A new owner can enjoy the home theater, music lounge, study, gym, and a newly built dance studio, but it is unclear if there have been improvements warranting a 30% price increase - Los Angeles prices have gone up 14% overall.

Mark Wahlberg

The 12-bedroom, 20-bathroom property was built in 2014 by Wahlberg, but it could pass for a European estate with its elaborate grounds and main house. Besides a pool with waterfalls and a full-size sports court, there's a poolside cabana, viewing pavilion, seven fireplaces, and a two-story library.

It is also pretty impressive to see the neighbors. Several celebrities live in Beverly Park, such as Justin Bieber, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and Denzel Washington.

Tommy Hilfiger

This four-bedroom, nine-bathroom, 7,150-square-foot property in December 2021 cost the designer and his wife $19 million when they bought it, but they received an offer they couldn't refuse a short time later they flipped the house for a tidy profit. The ski home with wood panels can now be enjoyed by someone else.

Simon Cowell

A $25 million deal was struck for the Beverly Hills mansion owned by "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell in 2020. His investment of $8 million in 2004 has returned a good return. There are six bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as a butler's quarters and maid's quarters that are reportedly connected by retina scans.

Trevor Noah

It was $1.1 million less than he bought the Japanese-inspired home in December 2020 when he sold it for $26.4 million. While the sale represented a huge profit for him, it resulted in a loss.

As a result, the home has also been listed for $3.3 million less than it was initially listed for in October 2021. There is a gym in the 11,375-square-foot home, a sauna, a barbecue station, and a rooftop lounge at the new owners' disposal.

Cindy Crawford

You can sunbathe around Cindy Crawford's private pool if you have very, very deep pockets. When she sold it to a retired hedge fund manager in 2018, it was built in a Mediterranean style on three acres of beachfront property.

The property offers floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors for uninterrupted views of El Sol Beach, a fireplace in the main suite, and dual spa bathrooms in the master and mother-in-law suites. Bring your binoculars and enjoy nature's beauty. It's even close to a bird habitat.

Add Block

Eric Trump

The mansion has eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms and is right across the street from Mar-a-Lago, the current home of former President Trump. Last year, this property was put on the market for $49 million but didn't sell.

It's not a common real-estate move to raise prices by $10 million, but Trump fans may want to take a chance on it. If it sells, a considerable profit will be made. Donald Trump's sister Maryanne sold the home to Eric Trump's limited liability company for $18.5 million in 2018.

Tina Turner

Because only Swiss citizens were allowed to purchase property in Switzerland, Turner and her German-born husband have rented for decades. They have decided to stay in Switzerland now that they have received their Swiss citizenship. Over 5.5 acres of land, the sprawl is home to 10 different structures and private lakefront access.

'Full House' Producer Jeff Franklin

This home was built in the 1990s on the same land where the Manson family murdered Sharon Tate and four others in the 1960s. Nine bedrooms, 18 bathrooms, a billiards room, wet bar, movie theater, spa, hair salon, and shark tank round out this home. As well as a water slide and a pool, there are three waterfalls and two hot tubs.

Are you looking for a parking spot? Sixteen vehicles are stored in the underground garage. As for Franklin, he seems unconcerned about the lot's rather shady past. The Wall Street Journal reported that he has had no impact whatsoever on his life as a result of it. As a result, the address of the lot where the murders occurred was changed in 1994.

Adele

When Stallone put down an initial $110 million asking price for his eight-bedroom, 12-bathroom home in 2021, he expected to sell it in a few years. 3.5-acre property on the coast of Florida cost Adele just $58 million - for that price, she received a cigar room, screening room, and bar.

As for the fist-pumping Rocky statue on the property's edge, it's unclear whether it stays with the property. There are also covered dining and lounge areas, a putting green, and an infinity pool. She also owns three more Beverly Hills homes if she gets bored.

Adam Levine

The lead singer of Maroon 5 bought a mansion with six bedrooms and seven baths for $22.7 million three months before it was flipped for a 25% profit. Among its features are a swimming pool, tennis courts, a theatre, and a wine cellar. Buying and selling real estate is not Levine's first profitable venture.

He sold a Beverly Hills home to Ellen DeGeneres for $45 million in 2018 after buying it for $34 million and renovating it for $7 million.

 Elon Musk

This recently sold San Francisco-area mansion was allegedly the last property Tesla CEO and SpaceX founder needed to unload to fulfill his vow to own no house. Currently, Tesla CEO and SpaceX founder live in a 400-square-foot home on SpaceX's grounds.

A 16,000-square-foot home on this 47-acre Hillsborough property, which Musk bought in 2017, has seven bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a library with leather walls, a kitchen equipped for an in-house chef, a cocktail room, and a soaring ceiling.

Jeff Bezos

In addition to being one of the world's richest men, the Amazon executive is also listed as one of the world's top 14 billionaires - so it should be no surprise that he bought the 14-acre compound in Hawaii.

Despite the estate's multi-structures, the best feature is the white-sand beach. It comprises a single-story house with 4,500 square feet and a 1,700-square-foot guest house. A 700-square-foot swimming pool and an outdoor kitchen are also included.

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi

A 9,000-square-foot main house with an infinity pool, organic vegetable gardens, and an organic vegetable garage is surrounded by a stocked pond, a detached garage, and a barn.

It only took them a year to turn around this massive home by selling it for $55 million after they bought it for $49 million. They have bought two cheaper houses nearby so they won't be homeless.

According to appraisal data, the home - next to those owned by fellow Kardashian family members - is worth $60 million.

Zsa Zsa Gabor

Before moving to a new house, most celebs never make their giant house a home. Zsa Zsa Gabor, the eccentric and consummately quotable late movie star who occupied the same Bel Air estate for four decades, is not the person to be compared to.

Gabor, however, remained in the mansion to the end of her days because of a peculiar arrangement. The deal finally went through in 2017, five years after she passed away. The property sold in 2018 for $20.8 million - nearly twice as much as it did one year earlier.
