It was freedom

The top-charting rap sensation claimed that once her parents ended their marriage, she had more "freedom." Still, Cardi's cousin experienced things very differently.

The 'WAP' hitmaker asked, "How do individuals feel when their parents divorce?" in an original tweet.

Later, Cardi clarified that she wasn't overly disturbed by her parent's divorce. For her cousin, the experience was considerably more distressing.

I have a cousin, and we are the same age and everything, so I asked about divorce. She added around the same time when our parents split up. However, when my parents divorced when I was 13, and her parents divorced when she was 13, she was deeply wounded, saddened, and discouraged by the events.

When my parents divorced when I was 13 years old, I won't lie; I'm not trying to sound arrogant, but I felt like I had more freedom. I could go outside without my parents noticing because neither of them was always watching me."

Cardi was happy before becoming well-known

Cardi, who is married to rapper Offset and has two children, Kulture, 4, and Wave, 11 months, said: "The fact that my family can receive anything they want is a plus. I can acquire anything I wish to buy. I don't need to be as concerned about the future.

One drawback is that, although I'm content, I think I was slightly happier two or three years ago when I had less money. Few people expressed an opinion on my life to me. I thought I owned my life.
