Billy Porter Doesn’t Feel Good About Harry Styles Being Vogue’s First Male Cover Star

Billy Porter, who is a 53 year old actor plus singer is not impressed by the news coming out of Harry Styles of being the first male picture to be published on Vogue in 2020.

Why Billy is not Happy with the Vogues Cover?

Actually Billy has much differences with Harry who is a young 29 year old guy of the most famous and popular band ‘One Direction’ among the young generation.

The reason why he is not happy is that, he thinks that Harry has broken the gender norms. When he was interviewed with one of the big news channel The Telegraph, he shared his feelings, tht Harry got published by the magazine on first page because he is a beautiful, white man.

While on the other hand Billy, who has broken all the stereotypes and wear what he wants without thinking about anyone’s thoughts on it. He actually didn’t like the fashion sense of Harry as he wore Gucci coat while getting photographed for the magazine cover.

When he was interviewed by editor and chief of Vogue, she asked him about how can we make the better because of his dynamic fashion sense Porter has and he further said, he was inattentive of what he was saying during the Q/A and he must not have said that.

He regret that he should ask the interviewer, “To use the power in order to make the voices heard who wants to stop this difference in gender based fashion movement.”

After it got aired, he was appreciated for the statements he said at that time. But, unfortunately, we think all words of him go in vain because six months later, Harry Styles was seen as the first male alone to be on the cover of Vogue’s magazine.

While clearing his statement, he said, I am not saying that Harry is on fault on being chosen as the male to be pictured, it is not his fault of looking white, good and fit for the cover but he blamed the magazine heads for this worst decision.

More Concerns of Porter about Previous Publishing 

Billy is always concerned about who is getting clicked for the covers of the famous magazines and this is not first time, though.

In October 2021, during the interview, he said that Fashion Industry has accepted him (Billy Porter) as the enthusiast because they were forced I guess or they had to. But still after getting accepted, Harry Styles was seen as a cover page on the mag.

I started to get on the page first, but now everyone is doing it, although I am not saying that the celebrities are on mistakes by doing that the heads are.

He apologetically said to Harry that he is sorry and he didn’t want to harm feelings of Style and clarified he is a Gay’ and he thinks Harry is cute.
