Due to her inability to utilize dating apps, a Russian millionaire looking for love has purchased enormous billboards to meet her ideal match.
Mum-of-two, 26-year-old Maria Molonova, has decided to rent several billboards in Ulan-Ude to find a husband.
The entrepreneur has asked potential suitors to scan a QR code to access a questionnaire that would help her evaluate them.
"A millionaire is looking for a husband," reads her advertisement.
Due to their inability to use credit cards or other payment methods, Russians have found it challenging to use all the functions of dating websites like Tinder since Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine.
"The dating applications have left Russia, and I have nowhere to meet [a man]," Maria said to the Moskovsky Komsomolets daily.
I also want to get married very much.
The mother has more than 22,000 Instagram followers, indicating that she is highly active online.
Despite her advertisement drawing much attention, she has yet to state whether she has found a suitable candidate.
"Those who read my [Instagram] know that I can do anything in life, except form relationships," she said to Baikal Daily.
Specialized dating sites used to be a viable option for meeting people, but they are now functional in Russia.
"And I don't want to wait around for my lover," she continued.
"I like to think creatively,"
I want to explore the city as much as possible and, if I'm lucky, actually meet a man, she declared.
She had posted a sign reading, "I want to be married," on her car in an earlier attempt to find a husband.
