Anne Heche who rose to fame in the mid-’90s from her roles in popular soap operas and movies in Hollywood has remained hospitalized since August 5 as the star had gotten into a car crash accident.

Anne Heche had driven a vehicle into a home in the Mar Vista region of Los Angeles, which resulted in a fire.

Anne Heche in a very critical condition

Talking about Anne Heche in a statement, her manager Michael McConnell had revealed to a news source that the star is in an extremely critical condition.

She also has a significant pulmonary injury which is requiring mechanical ventilation and she also has severe burns that require surgical intervention, McConnell added. Anne Heche is currently in a coma and has not regained consciousness since the incident.

Anne Heche is known for her firey roles and popular relationships, so here is a rundown of all of it. 

After rising to fame from the soap opera, “Another World” which aired from 1984 to 1992, Anne Heche became one of the hottest actors in Hollywood by the late 1990s. She then starred alongside Harrison Ford in the 1998 film “Six Days Seven Nights”. 

In 1998 itself she again starred as Marion Crane alongside Vince Vaughn's Norman Bates Gus Van Sant's remake of "Psycho."

Anne Heche also acted with legends of the time such as Robert De Niro, and Dustin Hoffman in the 1997’s movie “Wag the Dog”.

The devastating relationship that broke Anne Heche in pieces

While participating and competing on the show "Dancing With the Stars" in 2020, Anne Heche opened up about the career setbacks she faced when she started dating comedian Ellen DeGeneres back in the 90s. 

She had also recalled meeting Ellen DeGeneres back in 1997 at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party which was a night that had changed her entire life. Talking about the relationship, she revealed that she was in a relationship with Ellen DeGeneres for around three and a half years, and the stigma attached to that relationship was so bad that she was fired from her multimillion-dollar picture deals,  and she did not get to work in a studio picture for 10 years post it. 

Anne Heche and Ellen DeGeneres dated from 1997 to 2000 and soon after they both broke up Anne Heche were hospitalized after she had knocked on the door of a stranger's house in a rural area near Fresno, California. Authorities at that time had said she had appeared shaken and disoriented and spoke incoherently to the residents.

The strong Anne Heche who made a stronger comeback

Despite all of the odds that came her way, she paced her way back into the industry and continued to work mostly in television, and appeared on All Rise," "Chicago P.D.," "Ally McBeal" and "The Michael J. Fox Show,", among other popular series. 

She also starred alongside Ashton Kutcher in the 2009 film "Spread"

More recently, Anne Heche appeared in the 2020 film “The Vanished” in which she and Thomas Jane played a couple desperate to find their missing daughter.

Her haywire dating life that always kept her in limelight

Anne Heche and Thomas Jane had started dating in real life much before they did the movie. They started their relationship back in 2019. The couple had previously starred together in the HBO series "Hung" from 2009 to 2011. On Aug. 6, Jane Thomas confirmed in a statement to a news source that the two are "no longer together” but that he found the news of her crash "devastating." 

Before dating Jane Thomas, Anne Heche was married to real estate broker Coleman Laffoon from 2001 to 2009, and the two share a son, Hunter who is 20 years old. 

Anne Heche also has a son, Atlas, with actor James Tupper in 2009. She and Tupper dated for about 10 years and starred together on the show "Men in Trees" from 2006 to 2008.

And In her 2001 memoir “Call me crazy,” Heche talked about her lifelong struggles with mental health and a childhood of abuse.
