The Detroit zoo is one of Michigan’s largest family attractions, hosting more than 1.5 million visitors annually. How many acres is it occupied? The zoo occupied 125 acres of natural exhibits. It is home for more than 2,400 animals representing 235 species.

Awesome, like an Aardvark!!

What does the name aardvark mean? It means an earth pig. It is also known as ant bears. How many months did female aardvark take for gestation? It takes seven months, and it gives birth to one young at a time. Babies are called calves—around 4.4lbs in weight.

Northern two-toed sloth

It is also called Hoffmann's two-toed sloth, which is a heavily built animal with shaggy fur and slow, deliberate movements. Where do they live? They spend most of their time in trees. Does the owl have to make another trip to the zoo?

The most extensively dispersed species is the barn owl. What colour is the barn owl? It's a pale-colored owl with a squarish tail and lengthy wings. What does it have to do with it? The golden masked owl is related to the barn owl. The World owl trust promotes the "Barn owl nest box scheme" in the United Kingdom. Where do they reside? The nest is well-known. The Barn owl accepts the offered nest boxes but prefers wild places on occasion.

Malagasy Giant hognose

What kind of species is it? It is a snake species. How big do giant hognose snakes get?  They can reach total lengths up to 1,80m (6 feet). It prefers to live in sandy prairies, scrublands, and floodplains.

Amazon milk frog!!

It is a large species of arboreal frog. Where does it belong? The native place for this frog is the Amazon rainforest in South America. Sometimes, it is referred to as a blue milk frog. The popular name "Milk" comes from the milky fluid that these frogs emit when stressed.

The Horace H. Rackham Memorial Foundation, the 2-foot narrow gauge Tauber family railroad, the carousel, and the Ford Education Centre, which houses the simulator ride and 4-D theatre, are among the additional attractions at the Detroit Zoo. The fountain near the penguin house is turned into a splash pad in the summer and an ice rink in the winter.

The Detroit Zoological Society is to help rescue exotic animals from private owners, roadside zoos, and circuses. These Zoos save endangered species by bringing them into a safe environment and well cared for and have plenty of space.
