Américo Villarreal, one U.S. citizen was wounded, and the other wasn't. It was learned that Zindell Brown and Shaeed Woodard were the other two Americans who survived, and Mexican security officials identified them as Latavia "Tay" McGee and Eric James Williams. A tweet posted Tuesday afternoon by the attorney general in Tamaulipas confirmed that federal and state authorities escorted the surviving Americans to an international bridge.
Official statement from the State Department
The FBI confirmed that one of the two survivors was treated for serious injuries at a U.S. hospital on Tuesday evening. All four Americans who disappeared on Friday have been found, Tamaulipas' attorney general announced earlier on Facebook. As part of its investigation and intelligence work, the statement read, "the criminals are still being tracked down." According to State Department spokesperson Ned Price, both survivors had returned to the U.S. by Tuesday afternoon. As of Tuesday, Price declined to share additional information about the investigation into the abduction of the two victims who were killed, but officials said they were still working to repatriate the remains.

Price told reporters that the investigation is still at an early stage. FBI will provide more information as soon as it is available." Tamaulipas' attorney general said joint search operations led to the discovery of the group of Americans, but officials remained unclear about how they were eventually rescued. An ambulance and the rest of the security personnel are going to them right now to support them, says Villarreal. There are two dead, and one hurt, and one alive.
A Mexican president said one person is in custody in connection with the abduction, reports Associated Press. He did not disclose where the men were found or their injuries. It is the responsibility of the president to find and punish those responsible for the kidnapping. According to the AP, Lopez Obrador also complained about the coverage of the kidnapping by the American media and accused American journalists of sensationalism, explaining, "It's not like they go quite like mummies when they kill Mexicans in the United States."
Condolence message for the dead persons
According to the report, Christina Ruffini, a video posted on Twitter on Friday appears to show the moment the Americans were kidnapped. A white pickup truck is seen driven by a woman who is forced into it alone. In the video, two victims appear to be dragged across the pavement toward the truck by men with guns and bulletproof vests. U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Ken Salazar said on Monday that U.S. agencies are coordinating with their Mexican counterparts to recover the Americans. Karine Jean-Pierre spoke at a news conference on Monday about President Joe Biden's briefing on the situation. In a statement to reporters, Jean-Pierre expressed his condolences to the victims' families and helped.
