Prison Life for 'Cheer' Star Jerry Harris Isn't All Fun and Games

Jerry Harris, who stars in the Netflix original series "Cheer," is adjusting to a new schedule, and the media has obtained an exclusive look into his life inside federal bars.
As of this past month, Jerry has been serving a 12-year term for the child pornography crime he committed. He was just sent to a federal prison in Oklahoma City, where he will experience a significant paradigm shift in his day-to-day life.
Jerry's only options

Because walking, lifting weights, playing basketball, and handball are Jerry's only options for physical activity, he's going to have to come up with something else if he wants to keep active.

Other activities to pass the time include participating in hobby craft programs, playing board and card games, participating in group discussions, writing letters, and watching television; however, the convicts do not get to choose what is shown on the television.
Jerry now has a new bedtime the lights are turned off at 11:30 PM during the week and at 1 AM on the weekends but he can't sleep in he has to be dressed and out of his cell by 6 AM.
Visitors on the weekends and on federal holidays
However, Jerry will be able to have visitors on the weekends and on federal holidays. It is highly unlikely that Jerry will make many friends while he is incarcerated because men who have pleaded guilty to child porn are not exactly accepted by other convicts.
Giving up his cheerleading outfit
In addition, Jerry is giving up his cheerleading outfit in favor of the normal prison attire, which he is required to wear from six in the morning until four in the afternoon, Monday through Friday.
Outside of certain times, he is allowed to wear clothing that was procured through authorized methods. Oh, and one of his fellow detainees will be taking over the duties of barbering him.
Money from Netflix
It's possible that the money from Netflix will come in useful... Jerry has the option of working and making well under half a dollar per hour, or he can spend up to $360 each month at the commissary.
