Elon Musk will take Twitter after Tesla and SpaceX CEO purchased the social media site for $44 billion. On 8th January, Trump was permanently banned from Twitter after the riot at the U.S Capitol for two days. Trump tweeted that he would not be attending the inauguration ceremony of President Joe Biden on 20th January 2021.
The Georgia congresswoman’s
The Georgia congresswoman’s personal Twitter account was permanently suspended on 2nd January for repeated violations of the COVID misinformation policy. Under Trump, the former White House adviser had his account removed from Twitter in November 2020 for violating the site of the ban on the glorification of violence. His account and Info Wars show were permanently suspended in November 2018 for several tweets that violated Twitter's abusive behavior policy.
White supremacist and former leader of the Ku Klux Klan
In July 2020, the white supremacist and former leader of the Ku Klux Klan were banned from Twitter for multiple violations of the company's hateful conduct policy. In October 2017, Trump banned Twitter over a series of tweets in which he threatened CNN reporters. Due to repeated violations in January 2020, the MyPillow CEO and frequent pusher of the false claims that Trump lost the 2020 election due to widespread voter fraud, his account is banned.
Mike Pence
His account was temporarily suspended on 6th January for allegedly inciting violence and calling for Mike Pence to be executed amid the attack on the Capitol. These two members are the advocates of the radical QAnon movement and had their accounts removed on 8th January 2021. The baseball star had his account removed in October 2021 for repeated violations of its COVID-19 misleading information policy. The right-wing conspiracy theorist was permanently suspended from Twitter in October 2019, creating and operating several fake accounts.
