Her initial marriage to musician George William Weidler ended in divorce, and she subsequently married a producer Aaron Ruben in 1970. They were in relation until he died in 2010.

Many of her early roles were in classic TV shows such as “Bachelor Father,” “I Spy,” and “The Monkees.” She then landed the character of Hedy LaRue in a musical/comedy film which was an adaptation of a book named 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.' Maureen Arthur also played Hedy in the 1967 film adaptation of the musical. 

Her later movies included 'The Love God?' and 'How to Commit Marriage?' She continued her career with TV appearances such as 'Love, American Style,' 'Mork & Mindy,' 'Highway to Heaven,' etc. She also starred in the short-lived 1984 TV series 'Empire.'

She later returned to the Broadway stage, starring in Carl Reiner's 1967 play 'Something Different' and portrayed Miss Adelaide in the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera manufacturing of 'Guys and Dolls' in 1980.

The musical/ comedy, 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying' ran for 1,400 performances and scored seven Tony Awards and a Pulitzer Prize.

Reason for her decease

Her brother Gerald confirmed the news on Monday and explained that she died from natural causes, stemming from a long battle with Alzheimer's.
