Katie Thurston, a former 'Bachelorette,' and John Hershey, a competitor on her season, appear to have called it quits. Thurston took to Instagram Story on Monday to make the brief but emphatic assertion, 'No, we aren't together.' Despite the fact that she did not mention Hershey by name.

Hershey later confirmed the split in his Instagram Story, writing: 'I like being able to share unique moments with you all, especially the hilarious ones. The contented. The ones that are absurd, embarrassing, and sincere. But I'm not sure it'll ever be easier to share the sad ones.'

'As Katie previously indicated, we are no longer dating,' he affirmed. 'The decision was obviously not taken easily and was not made carelessly.'

Thurston appeared on season 17 of the popular dating show 'The Bachelorette.' Thurston refused to give Hershey a rose. Thus he was sent home during the second week of the series. She did, however, initially describe him as 'her type.'

Katie and Blake ended their long-distance relationship

Katie's season was full of ups and downs, passion and heartbreak, and she ended it engaged to Blake Moynes. Katie and Blake ended their long-distance relationship after the series concluded filming.

Thurston was linked to Hershey after parting from Moynes. As part of the '12 Days of Messy' challenge, the reality star asked Taylor Swift to deliver a message to a man who appeared on her season. Thurston revealed her relationship with Hershey using Taylor Swift's song 'Begin Again.'

Hershey wrote a sweet birthday tribute to Thurston

Hershey wrote a lovely birthday tribute to Thurston in January, writing, 'I could never have dreamed up what this year had in store for me,' John wrote. 'I am both awestruck and glad for the circumstances that brought us together.'

Thurston and Hershey walked red carpets, went on vacations, and attended Coachella together throughout their relationship.
