Jibri Bell’s parents inform him that they will attend his wedding with his Serbian fiancée, Miona, on the June 19 episode of 90 Day Fiancé Season 9. Why did they change their minds about their son marrying Miona so abruptly? 

Jibri’s parents think Miona is ‘controlling.’

Jibri’s parents are both therapists. Jibri by sitting with jibri in the most recent episode to discuss their concerns about his fiancée, Miona. Mahala told Jibri that she brought him to the coffee shop to have a critical conversation because, in the house, Miona frequently interrupts them and doesn’t let them talk freely.

“The fact that we have to have a conversation outside while having coffee is because we don’t feel comfortable having a private conversation at home. That concerns me,” Mahala said. And you’re still not married now.” she wanted to put jibri’s attention on the possibilities of ill manners that can happen in the future.

While sipping coffee, she remembers a time when she and Jibri tried to talk away from Miona, and she called and texted the entire time. Jibri’s mother also said, “it feels like she is controlling them,”

Mahala and Brian are concerned that Jibri has changed since Miona joined him in the United States. They are worried that he is unhappy but is concealing it. Jibri admits to being “overwhelmed” by the prospect of having to choose between his future bride and his parents.

Parents will not attend Jibri’s wedding.

Jibri’s parents are upset when he announces that he and Miona will marry on the beach. They are disappointed that he did not plan ahead of time so that they could be present for Jibri. Jibri questioned his parents, saying, “Do you think you couldn’t take a couple [of] days off and come to the wedding?” Their awkward silence indicates that the answer is no. Jibri inquires of his parents, “So you’re not coming, is what you’re saying?”
