On Friday, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin raised the possibility of abandoning Russia's nuclear policy, which forbids the nation from being the first to deploy nuclear weapons in a fight.
This comment was made after Putin visited Kyrgyzstan and was previously warned twice this week over the increasing threat of nuclear war and the comment was recorded in a transcript of a news conference given by the Kremlin.
According to Putin, if the country's early warning system detects the launch of a missile against Russia, the 'reciprocal' system would currently retaliate.
Putin also said that with the present Nuclear doctrine, Russia in the process of retaliation would launch 'hundreds of missiles' and becomes 'impossible to stop them.'
Putin appeared to refer to the America as a possible enemy of Russia, which makes the country ponder the possibility of an American 'preventive strike.'
Russia owns cruise missiles and hypersonic systems which are not available in the America.
President Joe Biden made news earlier this year for impromptu comments he made during a speech in which he suggested that the world could be approaching 'Armageddon.'
Biden in his statement, 'He is not joking when he talks about potential use of tactical nuclear weapons or biological and chemical weapons, because his military is, you might say, significantly underperforming' in Ukraine.
