He received the award from Al Pacino on the big stage and gave an emotional speech in accepting it.
Roger Clark, Arthur Morgan's actor in Red Dead Redemption 2, won the Best Performance award in 2018 with his performance in God of War.
It was a tough competition, with the actor who expressed the character's in-game son, Sunny Suljic, standing up to him.
As a result of God of War's incredible success in 2018, Cory Barlog stepped down as director for the latest game and became a producer.
According to Santa Monica Studio, this was because it was impossible to have the same person direct two games simultaneously.
During Christopher Judge's speech, he said he almost quit the franchise after discovering that Williams was taking on the director role.
Since Ragnarok received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics and fans, it was no surprise that Christopher Judge took home the award.
