A week before Strictly Come Dancing's finale, soap star Will Mellor quit the show. Public votes were the fewest; Coronation Street star Rex Harrison battled against X-Factor star Fleur East in a tense dance-off.
The 43-year-old actor and his mother, Shirley, have spoken candidly about their grief after losing his father in 2020.
The five remaining couples performed two routines on Sunday night's show to impress the judges - Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, and Shirley Ballas.
After Fleur received 74 points, Hollyoaks actor Will scored 70 points, placing him at the bottom of the leaderboard.
During his final words, Mellor said: I'm grateful for this opportunity to bring a smile to my mum's face. I will put everything I have learned from all the shows forward in my future endeavors.
I did not think I could reach this level, and I am so grateful to everyone who has supported me, voted for me, and sent me messages.
Motsi Mabuse chose East due to its 'details,' Craig Revel Horwood mentioned that it was the most impressive act.
She called it the 'most difficult decision' she had ever made in the competition because of the small details. Judge Shirley Ballas knows the public went in a different direction, but due to the 'micro details,' she also voted for East.
