In November 2021, The Spiderweb Chronicles was initially teased as a component of Disney+ Day. It began filming in Canada in September last year and finished early in 2023. Six series episodes were initially planned for premiere on Disney+; however, Deadline reported in August 2023 that the project was no longer moving ahead at Disney+ despite having already been finished owing to cost-cutting measures.

'The Spiderwick Chronicles' live-action series, based on Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black's best-selling children's novels of the same name, follows the Grace family as they relocate to The Spiderwick Estate, their ancestral home and learn about a different world of fairies.

Along with Christian Slater, Lyon Daniels, and Noah Cottrell, the show stars Jack Dylan Grazer, Joy Bryant, and Mychala Lee. Bryant and Lee perform the roles of Helen Grace and Mallory, respectively, and Grazer provides the voice of the boggart Thimbletack.
