As Thomas Ian Griffith did before him, Sean Kanan is the second star of The Karate Kid Part III (1989) who is returning for Netflix's Cobra Kai series.

As Terry Silver's (Griffith) most prized pupil Mike Barnes, he terrorized Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) for the entire duration of the film from the onset of the movie, until their final battle at the end of the movie.

The streamer has released new images associated with the upcoming release. One of the images included the 55-year-old actor in a black gi, which almost confirms that he is returning to the dojo after 30 years.

The fact that a character that I played over three decades ago still holds a place in the hearts of the 'Karate Kid' universe fans is humbling to me,' Kanan told The Daily Journal.

We don't have an advance look at everything yet, so I'm anticipating September 9th like everyone else. According to Kanan, 'I've been enjoying all the speculations as to how Mike Barnes will fit into Season 5.'

'It seems that the information that I have heard does not reflect what happens.' Griffith was intrigued enough to come out of retirement to work with the showrunners and creators Josh Heald, Hayden Schlossberg, and Jon Hurwitz.

You can trust the big three to write you an amazing story because they are masters of entertainment. As a result of his major breakout role in TKK3, Kanan became a regular on TV and film, appearing in Colonials, Studio City, Walker Texas Ranger, General Hospital, and The Bold and the Beautiful, among others.

'I'm eager to hear what you think about the return of the Bad Boy.' When Cobra Kai returns on September 9th, Griffith will be reunited with Martin Kove (John Kreese). As for Kanan, he doesn't appear in the new trailer.

Thank You!
