It was expected that a Texas couple would have their fourth and final child this summer but instead welcomed four new children into the world. Her 12-week ultrasound revealed she and her husband Patrick Hagler were expecting quadruplets, Gaby Hagler told Good Morning America.

'Our first reaction was to believe it was two views of a single baby, but the ultrasound technician started counting 'one, two, three,' oh wait, no, no, wait, there's four,'' she told the outlet, adding her surprise left her 'complete shock.'

Her response was: 'We were like, 'Four? Four what? Four limbs? Like what are we counting?' And she replied, 'Well, look up there. Look at the babies doing different things. There was no doubt that it was not multiple views of the same baby at that point..'

According to CBS station KHOU, the couple married in 2018 and have two children from previous relationships - Paxton, 12, and Kalleigh, 13. Sammy, almost 3 years old, was born shortly after the couple had their first child together.

They tried for a second pregnancy but suffered a miscarriage, Gaby and Patrick told KHOU. Even though they had a setback, they decided to try again.'We decided we would do one more,' Patrick explained to the news station. 'Then we will have completed our task with a fourth.'

Gaby became pregnant again after she used fertility medication after her miscarriage, according to KHOU. Their 12-week check-up came as a surprise. Adam and Bennett were born on June 22 at 34 weeks, while Coby, Dane, and Bennett were born on July 19 at 32 weeks.

Gaby and Patrick set up a GoFundMe account to raise money to buy a van to transport the quadruplets to doctors' appointments because they were born prematurely. Their campaign raised just over $20,000 by Wednesday afternoon, which enabled them to secure the van.

Patrick told GMA that the experience has been life-changing and a little scary, because they had financially planned for another, and even then it took some planning. The whole financial plan was completely tipped upside down, but it is manageable. It is just a bit overwhelming at first.'
