Bevin Prince appeared on the '1 on 1 with Jon Evans' podcast on Friday's episode, where the actress called the tragic death of her husband 'an absolute living nightmare.'
She recalled how it was just another day like the many others they had and were on the boat, distant from the storm, and everything seemed fine, and within a second, things changed.
A hunter, a nurse, and a military veteran were on the boat next to them, and they all responded swiftly to the event.
Though the emergency services attempted to resuscitate him for 20 minutes, everything went in vain. But Friend couldn't be rescued, and shortly after the tragedy at Masonboro Island in North Carolina, Friend was declared dead in an ambulance. He was 33.
Prince married Friend in 2016 and moved to Wrightsville Beach to be nearer to her family.
Being a fitness trainer, Prince said former One Tree Hill co-stars Hilarie Burton and Lee Norris supported and helped her cope with the loss of Friend.
Prince, who is still grieving her husband's death, is still looking ahead for something better.
