The photo isn't particularly intimate

Hadid's daughter is 21 months old and has only appeared on her parents' social media pages. When Khai was just a few months old, Hadid and Malik stated in an open letter to paparazzi and fans that they would not be sharing photos of their daughter. 

To protect her privacy, Hadid asked paparazzi and media outlets that publish celebrity photos to 'blur her face out of the images, if and when she is caught on camera.'

Malik was charged with more than three counts of harassment and pleaded no contest. 

 Malik responded to the situation with a Notes app statement, denying the allegations of harassment. He entered a no-contest plea to 'create a safe and private space for my daughter to grow up in.' He also expressed his desire to 'restore us to a peaceful family environment that will allow me to co-parent my daughter in the manner that she deserves.' 

Hadid nor Malik has said much about their breakup.

Still, this public acknowledgment indicates that the former couple is at least co-parenting peacefully.

Gigi shared a never-before-seen photo of Malik, 29, and their 21-month-old daughter, Khai, playing with arts and crafts supplies.

Gigi captioned the photo, '& to Khai's baba!!!!'

Neither Malik nor Khai's faces were visible in the photo. Still, the tattooed singer, whom Gigi dubbed 'Khai's baba,' was seen sitting on the floor and coloring with the toddler.

Since her birth, Gigi and Malik have been adamant about not revealing her baby girl's face on social media, and they continue to do so.
