Following The School for Good and Evil, a hexalogy of best-selling YA books by Soman Chainani will be The School for Good and Evil.
A major twist is included in this film adaptation, unlike most adaptations where the book's story matches the film's story.
Since Joe Roth's Roth Films acquired the rights to produce The School for Good and Evil with Jane Startz in 2013, it has been stuck in development hell.
After that, nothing happened, partly due to the pandemic, until Netflix took over from Universal Pictures and turned the series into a movie.
In October 2022, Netflix will premiere The School for Good and Evil. Originally planned for October 21, but recently moved up. The movie will only be available through Netflix.

In 2013, Soman Chainani published his first book in his hexalogy, The School for Good and Evil. The book sold more than 2.5 million copies across 30 continents.
There is a plot about the lives of Sophie and Agatha, who are good friends. Sophie is the quintessential pink-wearing, fun-loving, pretty girl.
