NBC's 'America's Got Talent' tops Tuesday's primetime ratings

A total of 6.4 million viewers tuned in to the long-running competition series. It earned an impressive 0.8 rating in the advertiser-friendly 18-49 demographic.

NBC was the highest-rated and most-watched broadcast network of the night thanks to massive numbers from 'AGT.' That doesn't mean the big four rivals are packing up without a fight.

As the fall broadcast season approaches, CBS and ABC continue to battle for viewership dominance. The excitement of reruns has never been greater! Nielsen data shows that NBC was first in ratings with an average key show rating of 0.6 and a lifetime total average audience of 5 million plus on the same day.

From 8 p.m. m. to 10 p.m., 'AGT' drew 6.4 million viewers and a 0.8 demo rating. A demo rating of 0.3 and 2 million viewers were drawn to a reality competition series, 'Snake in the Grass.

The next most popular network was CBS, which had a 0.3 demo rating and 3.2 million total viewers. As part of its regular 'FBI' block of shows, 8's 'FBI' earned a 0.3 rating and 3.5 million total viewers, followed by 9's 'FBI: International' and 'FBI: Most Wanted' out of 10. The Eye is looking forward to the return of new episodes.

There were 2.4 million total average viewers on ABC primetime with an average demo rating of 0.3. The launch of 'Celebrity Wheel of Fortune' at 8 drew 3 million viewers. The next show, 'Generation Gap,' earned a 0.3 rating and 2 million viewers. Lastly, the 0.3 rating on Celebrity Family Feud drew 2.2 million viewers.

There were 823,000 average viewers and an average rating of 0.2 on Fox's advertiser-friendly demo. A 0.2 rating was recorded between 18 and 49 viewers, while a total of 955,000 viewers tuned in. At 9, the show's rating was 0.18 and 688,000 viewers.

As for The CW, it was ranked fifth with an average demo score of 0.1 and a total average of 312,000 viewers. at 8 p.m. m. The rerun of 'Superman & Lois' drew 343,000 viewers and a 0.1 rating. 'Tom Swift' was ranked 9th with a 0.1 demo rating and 282,000 viewers overall.

Neither Fox nor The CW has primetime programming on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10 p.m. When it comes to Spanish-language networks, Univision emerged as the top network with a 0.4 demo rating and 992,000 average viewers.

A demo rating of 0.3 and 877,000 viewers watched “Liga MX” for two hours to kick off primetime. According to Nielsen ratings, 'Friendly Match' drew 1.6 million viewers and 0.6 demo ratings.

As for Telemundo, it came in second with a 0.3 demo rating but had a larger audience with 1.1 million total average viewers. The show 'Casa De Famosos' attracted 1.3 million total viewers and earned a key demo score of 0.4.
