The Downey Fire Department received a call at 10:47 p.m. local time regarding an apartment fire on Tweedy Lane.

On reaching the location, firefighters saw heavy smoke and fire coming from a garage in the condo complex.

Firefighters rescued a victim from the apartment's front with burn injuries over the body, and the victim is being recovered from a trauma hospital.

Shortly later, the two other victims were discovered. While the second, a kid, was transferred to Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center and later proclaimed dead, the first was pronounced dead at the apartment.

According to some news sources, the child victim is a 12-year-old girl, and the other is allegedly her mother. The girl's grandmother is the person in the hospital getting better.

Firefighters discovered the mother and daughter in cardiac arrest in an upstairs bathroom.

Put out the fire more than 35 local firefighters were called, and it took around 25 minutes to put down the fire, and the cause of the fire accident is still under investigation.
