Luke Bryan, a judge on ,American Idol,, has revealed who he believes is in the best position to win season 20,s ,American Idol, before the show,s semi-finals.

Bryan spoke with Access Hollywood after the Mothers, Day event, which aired on Sunday, May 8, 2022, and revealed which artist he believes is in a solid position to win the competition coming into the season,s last two programs.

Bryan believes Noah Thompson is the frontrunner in the battle, according to Access Hollywood.

,I think for the top 5, you just have to get up there and have fun and pick some songs that allow you to connect,, Bryan added. ,I think it,s interesting since I,m sure a lot of the voters have already chosen their preferences., And I believe it will be a close race.,

He went on to say which of the remaining contestants—Noah Thompson, Leah Marlene, Fritz Hager, HunterGirl, and Nicolina—he thought had the best chance of winning the game.

,I believe America likes those stories,, the ,American Idol, judge said, ,when I look at the way Noah can just humbly connect.,

,However, I believe it is anyone,s game., Everyone in the top five has characteristics that distinguish them.,

,I think Noah might be my front-runner right now,, he concluded.

Because of the unpredictable nature of voting, it,s impossible to predict who will win season 20 of ,American Idol,, but Thompson,s fan following and status as a country singer offer him an advantage.

The song is one of ,American Idol,s, top seven recording hits, which they perform live on the show. Chayce Beckham,s song ,23, was a smash hit last season, charting at number one for weeks after its release.

Thompson,s song has the feel of a traditional country storyteller.

Thompson was moved straight to the top 5 after the nationwide voting, despite having to perform from his hotel room during the top 7 presentations.
