Live virtual auditions are held for 'American Idol' to find Texas talent

Auditioning for American Idol' Texas will take place online on Wednesday, Aug. 10 with a producer.

A live virtual audition will be held for Texans who are interested in auditioning for the upcoming edition of 'American Idol'.

It was announced Wednesday (Aug. 10) that virtual zoom auditions will be held in Texas for 'American Idol.'

For a chance to be a part of the renowned show, hopeful stars can upload their talents online and receive feedback from producers.

As part of the virtual waiting room, 'American Idol alumnus Fritz Hager will take questions and offer audition tips from Texans.

Zoom auditions are part of the show's 'Idol Across America' campaign, where the show's producers virtually look for the most talented singers across the country.

The show's 18th season, the third for ABC, shifted to a remote setup when a pandemic struck, and it continues to use the virtual setup.

To participate in the competition, applicants must be legal United States residents.
