The movie 'Oppenheimer' explores the life and morally dubious achievements of J. Robert Oppenheimer, a physicist who was credited with developing the atomic bomb.
Oppenheimer was the director of Los Alamos Laboratory, where the bombs were put together, and one of the main contributors to the Manhattan Project. This government research project ran from 1942 to 1946 and was focused on developing nuclear weapons.

Cillian Murphy who was part of major Nolan movies including 'Inception,' 'Batman Begins,' 'The Dark Knight,' 'The Dark Knight Rises' and 'Dunkirk' has backed a lead role in the movie 'Oppenheimer.'
And other include Rami Malek, Kenneth Branagh, Benny Safdie, Dane DeHaan, Jack Quaid, Matthew Modine, Alden Ehrenreich, Josh Peck, Jason Clarke, David Dastmalchian, Alex Wolff, James D'Arcy, and much more.
The movie 'Oppenheimer' has been a book adaptation of 'American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer' a novel written by late Martin J Sherwin and Kai Bird that bagged a 2006 Pulitzer Prize. Along with Nolan as director, Charles Roven and Emma Thomas as producers.
Nolan's connection with Warner Bros. terminated following the release of 'Tenet,' and 'Oppenheimer' is his first movie to be distributed independently since 2000's 'Memento.'
