As hosts of the 56th Annual CMA Awards in Nashville, Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning team up

Peyton Manning and Luke Bryan will host the 56th annual Country Music Association Awards on Wednesday, Nov. 9. There has not yet been any word on nominations for this year's event, which will take place at the Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

He is a two-time winner, having hosted the show last year and performed at CMA Fest in June As one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, Manning has plenty of experience in the spotlight, having played in the NFL for 18 seasons before retiring in March 2016 after winning Super Bowl 50.

Announcing the news, the 'Born Here Live Here Die Here' singer appeared on Monday's episode of 'Live with Kelly and Ryan.

In a statement, Bryan said, 'To be a part of such an important night honoring my peers and country music is an honor.' 'I was asked if I would consider co-hosting with Peyton Manning, and I didn't hesitate.

As he said, 'He has become one of my best friends through the years, and what he brings to the party is sure to make things even better. I know he has been to the CMAs before, but he's never been with me. Hey Peyton, I hope you're ready for the night of your life

As for Manning, he says: 'I cannot wait to head to Nashville and take the CMA Awards stage with Luke Bryan. I love country music, so to be able to stand among so many amazing artists is an honor.

On Instagram, CMA announced: 'Just drafted our top picks for the 2022 CMA Awards! We definitely scored with @LukeBryan, two-time Entertainer of the Year, and @PeytonManning as our hosts! Watch Wednesday, Nov. 9 on @ABCNetwork.

Sarah Trahern, Chief Executive Officer of the Country Music Association, said the Biggest Night will live up to expectations this year. It is an honor to have Luke and Peyton host this evening when we celebrate the best in Country Music. I am certain they will be funny and unpredictable, just like they are.

The Walt Disney Television executive vice president of unscripted and alternative entertainment Rob Mills said, Just when we thought the CMA Awards couldn't be topped by Luke's energy and charm, we're bringing him back with sports legend Peyton Manning.

Their dynamic chemistry and magnetic friendship make this year's show one to remember.' Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, Brad Paisley, and Dolly Parton have all hosted in the past.
