After Xander and Sarah discuss getting married, they decide to do so in their Salem Inn room. He concedes to selling her ring to buy Gwen's ring, and she says, 'Now you can put that ring back on my finger.' Her face falls as he admits to selling her ring. He believed she was done with him because he thought she had run off with Rex.
It makes sense to her, but she seethes at how Gwen drugged her when he tried to hold on to her. There's no forgiveness for Gwen in Xander's eyes. When she hallucinated, Sarah expressed her gratitude for someone talking her down. She could have harmed an innocent person.
The question arises as to what Gwen's ring will be used for. The pawn shop will exchange it for the ring he gave her. Only one thing left to do: find someone to officiate the ceremony. Due to her ordination to marry Bonnie and Justin, Xander suggests Maggie. She surprises her, saying, 'We're really doing this.' He affirms and kisses her goodbye.
Gwen gets a new bunkmate while reading in her cell - Kristen. When Gwen sees that she has caught herself, she is surprised. It's by choice that Kristen is there, as she has a daughter to support. After a heated argument, Kristen accuses Gwen of killing Abigail for exposing her at Xander's wedding. Gwen points out the event while she is locked up in there.
A furious Kristen complains about Xander separating her from Rachel, but Gwen defends him. The happily ever after he and Sarah had been, however, lamented by her. Sarah seems a bit off from what Kristen's seen, so she thinks it's only a matter of time until they implode. Therefore, it is unlikely that they will ride off into the sunset.
The Square is filled with Nancy finding Leo reading his tablet. The gloating begins when she learns that Clyde has been cleared of killing Abigail. Aside from buying stolen jewelry, he had no other criminal record.
The natural killer is the person who bought it from him. Leo counters that someone has already been arrested for the crime. She doesn't believe the article about Lucas that he shows her. After declaring that the police are barking at the wrong tree, she gets up and leaves.
While Marlena was in the interrogation room, Lucas was hypnotized, and she started asking questions about the night Abigail was killed. Putting his head down, he remembers drinking tequila at a park, fighting with Abigail for it, then banging on the door of the DiMera to get her to let him in. It is now time for Lucas's eyes to fly open as he says, 'Oh my God!' He cries in pain as he makes the statement.
In response to the fact that she did not answer, he went back through the back doors and went to the wet bar to make himself a drink. The hand of the man was cut while he was missing a lemon. Rafe was falsely accused of arresting Clyde by a woman at the Pub. She argues that he could face repercussions if he goes after the Salem Police Department. He looks at her blankly, unsure of who she is. Taking a break, he leaves. Jada Hunter introduces herself. She says that was impressive to Rafe. When she hears that, she asks if she has been hired.
The Salem Police Department welcomes Abigail after discussing her murder case. Even though Jada has to go through this interview first, Rafe emphasizes Steve's recommendation of her. During the conversation, Jada mentions how Steve was a good friend of her father, Dr. Marcus Hunter.
Xander in the Square discovers a diamond ring belonging to Gwen. Having given her a stolen bracelet, he apologizes. The moment Leo hears that he plans on getting married to Sarah, he snarks at him for planning to marry Gwen simultaneously. Clyde and Nancy run into each other outside the Pub. Her joy at seeing him free is contagious.
The things she's used to are too expensive for him to give her a nice present. Her only wish is to be loved and treated with honesty by a man. The bracelet sold to Clyde belonged to a weasel, and Clyde would like to know who sold it to him. Clyde declares that there will be trouble if he finds out who jammed him. Leo stares at them from afar.
